Thai artist Fatoh reunites 2Pac and Biggie for an intergalactic reunion with his upcoming Retro Hip Hop Wars carded figure set. Created for the #DKECON SDCC 2021 virtual convention (7.23 – 7.25), the new set features Boba Pac in the nearly OG Kenner armor and the Big Carbonite with a new frozen sculpt featuring a shiny silver finish versus the original set’s pewter vibe. The Retro edition follows the OG Hip Hop Wars set released last year for, yup, #DKECON SDCC 2020.
Rather focusing on the two late hip hop legends, the new card design features Fatoh’s unforgettable Style Wars takes on the Stormtrooper, Vader, C3PO and Yoda, each with puffy jackets. There’s also a fun mystery silhouette which just might be a preview of an upcoming release.
A signed/numbered edition of 70, the Retro Hip Hop Wars carded resin art toy set will be available from the #DKECON online store for $100 beginning on Friday (7.23) at 12 PM PDT.
