AllRightsReserved is set to release the Nice Director vinyl art toy from Face Oka featuring a stylized take on Japanese porn industry pioneer Toru Muranishi whose rebellious struggle against anti-porn laws is the subject of Netflix’s The Naked Director series.
Inspired by the unforgettable image of Muranishi preparing to shoot a scene with a large camera on his shoulder while wearing only tighty whities, the figure includes a second removable astronaut helmet head seen in the promotional materials for the second season which debuts on June 24th on Netflix. For his artistic take on the director known for his ‘nice’ catchphrase, Face Oka incorporates his signature face styling, often seen upside down.
An edition of 624, the Nice Director vinyl art toy will be available for HK$2200 ($283) via lottery from DDT Store from Wednesday (6.24) at 9 PM PDT to Sunday (6.27) at 9 PM PDT. The figure features an embedded NFC chip for authentication and has a printed signature and edition number on the feet. This release is the first from AllRightsReserved’s new Fwenclub brand which specializes in licensed entertainment properties.
