Back in 2008, Jason Freeny imagined what the fetal development of a gummi bear might look like with his Immaculate Confection illustration. He also recently completed an original five piece sculpture featuring each of the phases of the candy’s development, starting with the initial gum drop phase. Now Freeny’s sweet idea and the inspiration behind his ‘Gummifetus’ Instagram name has given birth to the brand-new Immaculate Confection: Gummi Fetus polystone art toy from Mighty Jaxx.
The Gummi Fetus art toy debuts in a translucent orange edition reminiscent of the classic candy’s appearance. As with the artist’s previous Brick Baby releases, Gummi Fetus features a removable circular base for a ‘floating’ style display.
An edition of 300, the Immaculate Confection: Gummi Fetus polystone art toy (head to toe: 6″) will be available for preorder on Saturday (6.5) at 6 AM PDT from Mighty Jaxx for $169 (worldwide shipping included). The toy is slated to ship in November 2021. Additionally, the Immaculate Confection print is available directly from Jason Freeny for $78.
