OKluna continues his expanding fox saga with the new The King of the Universe – Prince of the Stars vinyl art toy created in collaboration with Thinkingues who specializes in carving wood animals. The second figure in the series (‘Chapter 2’) features a bright yellow fox prince, deep in thought as he holds a shiny gold star. The sculpt evokes the feel of a carved wood piece with faceted ‘cuts’ throughout. The slightly rough, organic texture is a refreshing break from the typical smooth curves of vinyl figure.
With bright, vibrant colors, the new Prince of the Stars toy appears to tell the story before that of the original King of the Universe release (August 2020). The previous figure reads ‘older’, from the more muted color palette to the antique gold crown and star in contrast to the prince’s shiny gold versions.
