Fools Paradise’s upcoming Leon // Supreme Bo vinyl art toy blends the french assassin with the role of Joker (the reincarnation of the Monkey King)—played by superstar Stephen Chow— from the HK film A Chinese Odyssey which is a wild, chaotic retelling of the epic chinese tale, A Journey To The West. After numerous parody releases based on Western pop culture, it’s refreshing to see Fools Paradise playing off Eastern cinema and folklore. While the figure is based primarily on the HK film, the little wrench, doubling as a hair clip, seems to reference Leon’s Fools Paradise alter ego (of sorts).
The Leon // Supreme Bo vinyl art toy will be available for preorder on Tuesday (6.1) from Fools Paradise. Key details including pricing and physical dimensions have not yet been announced.
