Next up for Mighty Jaxx is their first collaboration with Chinese artist Bu2ma. Known for illustrations of stylized tigers, Bu2ma’s (Bu-er-ma) first polystone art toy, It’s Lonely At The Top, is based on a whimsical yet wise piece featuring a large tiger balancing on a tiny peak.
The art toy adds to the story with the inclusion of a recurring smaller tiger cub, presumably learning in the footsteps of his elder. As a fun detail the larger tiger has yellow eyes while the younger cub’s eyes are blue. Even more fun, the little one can be displayed alongside or on top of the big tiger as seen in the promo pics.
The It’s Lonely At The Top polystone art toy set (7″ & 2″) will be available on Saturday (5.22) at 6 AM PDT from Mighty Jaxx, presumably as a preorder, for $199.
