The wait is almost over. The FATTYx2 Buddang & Skycat figures by Coolrain’s Coolabo x Yama are set for release. First previewed back in the Summer of 2019, the figures are a blend of Yama’s Buddeng figure and Coolabo’s Skycat which has seen several 1/6 scale releases.
The WWII era fighter pilot concept is drawn from Skycat while the legs out, seated pose and the Rimowa style luggage are inspired by Buddeng. Buddeng originally featured a Supreme x Nike style sneaker which could be displayed in his outstretched hands or tucked away into his luxurious luggage for safe keeping. Flying with the pilot theme, FATTYx2 features sky shark bombs for display either in the hands or in the luggage. The seemingly unplanned sitting synergy between Yama’s work and Coolrain’s ENBT (Everyone Needs Break Time) theme ties this collaboration together in a subtle, organic way.
Editions of 100, the Fattyx2 – Buddang & Skycat art toys will be available from Coolrainlabo on Sunday (5.9) at 5 AM PDT.
