Reveal: MF DOOM Tribute Figure from Fatoh

Thai artist Fatoh is nearly done completing his MF Doom tribute figure. Best known for his series of Star Wars-inspired figures rocking puffy jackets, Fatoh took preorders for his extremely-limited figure of the legendary late rapper with the iconic mask back in January. At the time he showed a render of the digital sculpt with some basic color references.

Now, here’s the first look at the finished, fully-painted piece. The final design turned out better than we could have hoped for with arguably Fatoh’s best paint application so far. From the metallic gleam of the mask to the subtle wear on the green puffy jacket, the range and delivery of detail is spot on. This is without even mentioning the giant boombox which features a detailed, gritty paint application as well. And finally, there’s the wood base which is laser-cut in the shape of MF DOOM’s helmet.

For those that pre-order the news couldn’t be any better. Unfortunately, as far as we know the figure is sold-out.
