Kidrobot continues its long-running series of officially-licensed Andy Warhol collectibles with the new Andy Warhol Pop Art Collection Dunny Box One. As the name hints at, the release includes a variety of KR-produced Warhol products including a 3″ Dunny, all packaged in a Warhol x Kidrobot branded cardboard box.
The box includes an Andy Warhol X-Ray Banana 5″ Dunny, a Many Faces of Andy Warhol 3″ figure in an exclusive edition described as ‘Gold/Silver/Bronze), an Andy Warhol Self Portrait short-sleeve Tee (S-XXL), two 3″ Warhol rubber magnets and an Andy Warhol 15 Minutes metal pin (1.5″). The box features something to please most any Warhol fan. The title suggests this is the first in a series of boxes. Perhaps there will be boxes featuring other artists like Basquiat. Continuing the speculation, here’s wondering if the boxed collection concept was inspired by KR’s sibling company, Loot Crate, both of which are owned by NECA.
An edition of 1000, the Andy Warhol Pop Art Collection Dunny Box One is available for pre-order from Kidrobot.com for $65 and will also be available from select museum stores. The box is slated to ship in Q2 2021.
