While Frank Kozik’s Labbit isn’t going ‘soft’ per se, the upcoming Visible Labbit art toys from Kidrobot feature an intricate plush skeleton within a clear plastic Labbit shell. The Visible Labbits extend the concept of Kidrobot’s previously released Gashadokuro Plush Guts Dunnys by featuring separate plush shapes including their large ‘ear’ bones, stomach, and happy heart character on top of the main embroidered skeleton.
The Visible Labbit is available for pre-order in both a standard edition in red, white and black as well as Kidrobot Exclusive Neon edition featuring a black design with neon blue, green, and red details. Beyond the color differences, the two versions feature different plush organs/shapes layered on the plush skeleton.
Both editions of the Visible Labbit art toy are available for pre-order from Kidrobot for $59.99 each. The toys are slated to ship in Q3 2021.
