Saigon-based Design By Reborn has created two large-format woodblock guardians with a definite robot vibe. Crafted by traditional artisans, the Lotus Galaxy and Forgotten Lotus pieces each feature 36 lacquered wood blocks with rare earth magnets for easy assembly and rearrangement. Standing a towering 28″ tall, the figures are equally at homes as showcase pieces either in a minimalist display or an elaborate collection. Lotus Galaxy features a yellow design with black splatter while Forgotten Lotus features a concrete gray with ‘cracked’ black effect. With the hand-applied finish, no two pieces are alike.
