Danil Yad’s Authors project celebrates creative visionaries across multiple mediums from sneakers to video games. Yad’s latest art toy in the series is the new ‘Jeff Staple’ vinyl figure from Mighty Jaxx. The Staple figure features the celebrated NYC shoe + streetwear designer in black and gray. As one would want and expect, the toy comes with a gray pigeon accessory, Staple’s signature calling card found on most of his brand’s designs.
While previous Authors figures have paid unofficial homage to influential creators and carried descriptive names such as ‘Shoe Designer’, the new figure was created in conjunction with Jeff Staple and thus bears his name. The new toy features two pairs of interchangeable shoes—a series staple— including one that is almost certainly inspired by his iconic Nike SB Dunk Low NYC Pigeon sneakers.
The Jeff Staple vinyl art toy will be available—presumably as a preorder— on Saturday (2.27) at 6 AM PST from Mighty Jaxx for $199.
