KWESTONE is working with Invasion Toys to bring his J-Zinger illustration (2018) to life in vinyl. A fusion of giant robot and basketball shoe culture, the piece re-imagines Mazinger Z from a Jumpman perspective. The sneaker influence flows through the illustration from the swoosh-inspired red heat sinks on the chest and the iconic logo on wrists to of course AJ kicks.
From these first images of the sculpt from Thailand-based NOG Studio, we can see the swoosh-shaped designs on the chest and some added mechanical detail on the lower torso. Presumably the iconic logo seen in the illustration will be removed or altered for the art toy.
J-Zinger is one to watch especially for Mazinger-Z fans. We will be following the news on KWESTONE’s latest vinyl art toy project.
