Kevin Lyons’ reggae monster returns with the new Buffalo Soldier ‘Split Fountain’ Edition art toy from BlackBook Toy. Named after the screen-printing technique that uses multiple colors on a single pass, the Split Fountain edition features a reggae-inspired orange, yellow and green gradient. The green splatter adds visual texture and ties the figure back to the artist’s murals. This second edition of the figure follows the quickly sold-out OG edition featuring a lime green body and a similar reggae-style beanie.
As with the OG edition, the new Buffalo Solider comes with a canvas tote bag with a twist. Each of the new totes was hand tie-dyed by BBT in matching colors.
The Buffalo Soldier ‘Split Fountain’ sofubi art toy (7.87″) will be available for preorder on Thursday (2.25) at 7 PM PST from BlackBook Toy’s online store for ¥14,500 yen ($137.56). The figures are slated to ship in mid-March 2021.
