Kidrobot continues its line of Chia Pet versions of its popular figures with the new Sprout Munny. The aptly named figure is a 5″ terracotta Munny and as with all Chia Pets comes with chia seeds for a ready-to-grow experience. Munny becomes the third Kidrobot figure to go Chia following the Dunny and the Labbit. Interestingly the Sprout Muny is designed for all-over planting versus the recent Chia Pet Dunnys which restricted the planting surface to the hair area of the figure. Perhaps understandable from a cost perspective, this approach would seem to contradict the Munny’s DIY toy origins.
An edition of 750, the Sprout Munny (5″) terracotta figure/planter is available from Kidrobot for $19.95. Due to the included chia seeds the Sprout Munny can only be shipped to USA addresses.
