BBC Icecream will release its new colorful collection designed by Chicago-based Louis De Guzman at the upcoming ComplexLand game-like virtual event (12.7 – 12.11). Featuring his deconstructed, geometric interpretations of BBC Icecream’s logos, the collection features apparrel, bags, a pendant, a rug and yes, a new art toy.
An explosion of color and free-flowing shapes, the BBC Icecream x Louis De Guzman Coneman mixed-media art toy ($275) features the brand’s icecream logo and subtly incorporates elements of the astronaut logo as well. Featuring a dynamic sculpt, the pastel rainbow-hued ice cream cone character emerges from a pool of fragmented flavors, each element poised at unconventional, technically challenging angles. Beyond the overall ice cream design, the face and the spoon reference BBC Icecream’s astronaut logo. The imaginative figure was produced for BBC Icecream by frequent collaborator ToyQube.
The Louis De Guzman for BBC Icecream collection is slated to release at ComplexLand on Monday (12.7)—presumably at 11 AM PST when the virtual convention opens.
