Chubby Ojisan makes his debut at Taipei Toy Festival 2020 (11.20 – 11.22) from the Taiwan-based Chubbyman label and Unbox Industries. Perfectly dressed for the stay-at-home Zoom era, the lovable ‘uncle’ figure is ready to start his day, pairing his pristine dress shirt and tie with something just a bit less formal. A fun, cute take on the salaryman concept, Chubby Ojisan is here to brighten your day. The new figure follows the Axolotl-inspired Chubby Monster figure designed by Amber, the artist behind Chubbyman.
The Chubby Ojisan vinyl art toy (4″) will be available in both the OG edition (white underpants) and the TTF Exclusive Blue edition (30 pcs) with yep, blue underpants. Both editions will be available from the Unbox Industries TTF booth (C1-01 & 02) for NT1000 each ($35). We’re hoping Unbox will release these online in the near future.
