The upcoming Mazinger Maguro vinyl art toy by Chino Lam x Go Nagai x Unbox Industries is a fun, cleverly designed crossover figure celebrating the Japanese manga artist’s iconic Mazinger Z giant robot. Lam has reimagined his signature Maguro (tuna fish) from within the giant robot’s universe and seamlessly incorporated his futuristic fish vision into the overall design. The figure retains the classic Mazinger look, albeit with the cute, rounder proportions of the plucky tuna character. Chino Lam’s figure is the latest release in Unbox Industries’ series of Mazinger Z artist crossover figures created under license from Dynamic Planning.
The Mazinger Maguro vinyl art toy (8″) will be available for pre-order on Saturday (10.31) at 8 AM PDT from Unbox Industries for $130 and is slated to ship in the late December 2020 – January 2021 time frame.
