Known for his pixelated-style watercolor paintings, NY artist Adam Lister has collaborated with Sanrio and Medicom Toy on a vinyl art toy of the beloved Hello Kitty character. The toy features Lister’s pixelated interpretation of the iconic character—signature bow and all—realized in three dimensions with each geometric section varying in shape, size, and now depth. While a quick glance suggests a uniform, block-like approach, a closer look reveals the irregular complexity of the design.
The Hello Kitty x Adam Lister vinyl art toy (7.09″) will be available for pre-order directly from the artist’s online store on Sunday (11.1) at 7 AM PDT. While North American pricing has not been announced, the official Japanese retail price is ¥17,000 ($161).
