Chinese artist 06‘s (老六) Mr. Bone returns with the special 2-figure Heibai Wuchang Set from Mytoys. Inspired by the Chinese legend of the pair of underworld deities charged with escorting people into the afterlife—similar to grim reapers—the set features black and white versions of Mr. Bone fitted with backpack and sword as well as his standard hoodie and headphones combo.
Beginning with a simple 4-panel comic (2012) and now a successful crowdfunded toy launch in China and two blindbox series so far, Mr. Bone continues to move forward with 06’s strong design sense. Surrounded by zombies, the hoodie and headphone-wearing Mr. Bone must survive with his wit, wry skull expression and assorted weapons that attach to his backpack.
An edition of 500 sets, the Mr. Bone Heibai Wuchang Set (4.7″) art toys are available from Strangecat Toys for $125 as a 24 hr pre-order which closes on Saturday (9.12) around 11 AM PDT.
