It’s time… !Superplastic has just unveiled the new Janky Series 3 blindbox art toys. The brand-new series features designs from Andrea Kang, Anna Cattish, Caramelaw, Huck Gee, Jor Ros, Junko Mizuno, Mark Gmehling, Pete Fowler, Ricardo Cavolo, Scott Tolleson, Sentrock, Sket One, Wattle, Guggimon and perhaps a few surprises. By our quick count, 10 of the 14 listed artists are Janky veterans while four are new to the platform (Andrea Kang, Jor Ros, Scott Tolleson & Sentrock).
With S3 Superplastic continues its focus on making Janky an expressive artistic platform with designs that push painting tech to the limits and custom sculpts to realize striking visions such as Mark Gmehling’s Statue of Liberty-inspired design. Lurking in the blacked-out mystery silhouettes is the unmistakable outline of the Kranky designed by Sket-One. Yes, the Krylon-inspired design is making the jump from 8″ Superkranky to 3″ Janky.
The Janky Series 3 blindbox art toys will be available for pre-order on Thursday (9.24) at 11 AM PDT from Superplastic for $12/blindbox. Orders placed by Friday (9.25) will include a free Janky S3 enamel pin by Jor Ros. Janky Series 3 is slated to ship in December 2020.
