Coarse revisits the fraught False Friends with the new ‘You Used To Keep Me Warm’ vinyl art toy set. The symbolic piece explore’s Noop’s emotional journey that sees him caught between wanting to escape Paw!’s false friendship but yet longing for it once again.
‘You Used To Keep Me Warm’ features a dramatic scene with Paw!, perched on a step ladder, holding a storm cloud over Noop, a rain jacket as is his only protection from the imminent downpour. The new False Friends set comes in two editions: Loser and Nightshade. Loser features a white Paw!, black cloud and Noop in a gray rain jacket. Adding a punch of color while retaining the somber vibe, Nightshade features a black Paw!, a vibrant pink/purple sunset cloud, and translucent blue-green rain jacket.
Coarse’s steadfast attention to detail continues with this new False Friends set from the fully ‘functional’ rain jacket which features working zipper, draw cords and wind flap to the magnetic connections that allow Paw! to stand securely on the ladder.
The False Friends – You Used To Keep Me Warm vinyl art toy set (18″ at the top of Paw!’s ears) will be available for pre-order on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at 8:59 AM PDT from the Coarse Shop for $388 each and $648 for both. The toys are in production and are slated to ship this Winter (2021).
