Following its successful DKECON virtual SDCC event, DKE Toys will host its DKECON NYCC Edition virtual event from October 8 – 11, coinciding with the original scheduled dates of the now-cancelled NYCC 2020. Known for their selection of action figure-inspired art toys, DKE Toys has curated a new collection of humorous, stylish and thought-provoking blister carded figures for its virtual NYCC event. As with the SDCC event, DKE Toys will once again stream live from their DKECON physical booth, located within their warehouse.
Thai artist Fatoh’s (Kidding Toy) hilarious Street Wars figures featuring Star Wars characters in over-the-top puffy jackets proved to be an instant hit back in April with his trendy takes on Vader, Yoda and the Royal Guard selling out quickly. For the NYCC virtual event, Fatoh is bringing back all three in new editions, each with a newly designed card back.
NY Vader (S/N Edition of 100, 3.75″ scale, $85) features a brand-new prismatic black puffy jacket with tan sleeves as opposed to his nearly all-black OG appearance. The Last Royal (S/N Edition of 100, 3.75″ scale, $85) continues the two-toned trend with a red jacket featuring black sleeves versus the all-red OG edition. Finally, Masked Yoda (S/N Edition of 100, 3.75″ scale, $65) features an all-new sculpt and a Covid-19 bandana style mask. Each figure is signed and numbered by the artist.
The new Street Wars figures will be available as part of the DKECON NYCC Edition virtual event via the DKECON online store beginning on Thursday (10.8) at 10 AM PDT through Sunday (10.11) at 5 PM PDT. The DKECON live stream featuring artist interviews and more will air from 10AM to 7 PM PDT each day of the event starting on Thursday (10.8) and ending on Sunday (10.11) at 5 PM PDT.
