Dalek’s Space Monkey is back and how with the new 7″ vinyl art toy from UVD Toys. The new figure just might be the definitive version of the signature character with Dalek stating that this version is the one he’s ‘always wanted to make’. The trippy mayhem starts with the debut light blue edition direct from Dalek himself.
With his big eyes, big ears, wide (ultra-wide) tooth grin, slender body and plenty of destructive capability, this Space Monkey is ready to mesmerize old school and new collectors alike. Sculpted by Oasim Karmieh, Space Monkey features 5 points of articulation (head, arms, and ears) and comes armed with four weapons (axe, cleaver, knife and mallet).
As seen in Dalek’s fun video teaser below, we are expecting eight colorways of the new Space Monkey. Each features slightly different, and sometimes very different deco. Serving as an alter-ego of sorts, the back side of the figures shows the most difference between editions with different eye treatments on the ‘ears’ and in at least two cases, extra mouths as well.
An edition of 75, the Space Monkey Blue vinyl art toy (7″) drops on Friday (8.28) at 2 PM PDT from Dalek’s web shop for $120. Dalek will be signing and numbering each box of this special debut edition.
