Fools Paradise has collaborated with China’s TMALL on another special edition vinyl mashup. Revisiting the Springfield meets DBZ concept, Fools Paradise goes one step beyond their previous Dokkan Awaken // Yellowfool with the even larger Yel Lowfool 50 CM Jumbo Series vinyl toy. Standing nearly 20″ tall, the new figure eclipses the previous Yellowfool which measures a mere 16.54″.
Beyond the larger format, Yel Lowfool pushes the balance of its two inspirations firmly in the direction of the beloved couch potato. Chillin’ in flip flops with a half-eaten donut in one hand and a beer in the other, this ‘warrior’ is all about the fridge, not the fight. While not fully revealed, Yel Lowfool’s tattoos—a Fools Paradise staple—appear to be completely different from the ones on Dokkan Awaken // Yellowfool. In keeping with their lighthearted, never too serious vibe, Fools Paradise pokes fun at its own releases with the Super Professional seen on Yel Lowfool’s flabby arm.
While release details have not yet been announced, we’re hopeful that the precedent of shared exclusives between Tmall and Fools Paradise continues. If so, we should expect an international pre-order from Fools Paradise shortly.
