UK artist Koncrete’s Tank Girl Black Out Edition offers a striking take on the comic book soldier heroine. Previously released in an initial run of just three pieces for ToyCon UK back in February, the child warrior returns this weekend in a slightly larger run of six pieces.
Koncrete’s vision of Tank Girl moves away from the in-your-face style of the comic to refocus our attention on the child within the warrior. Making do with a jacket intended for an older soldier and doing without combat boots, this tank girl offers a grounded rather than glorious perspective.
The Tank Girl Blackout resin art toy will be released for £250 / $315 (shipping included) via a lottery and an online store drop. The Facebook lottery runs until Saturday (7.18) at 6 AM PDT. The online release is set for (7.19) at 8 AM PDT from the artist’s web shop.
