UK artist Whatshisname’s break-dancing astronaut returns for another round of weightless celebration . The aptly named One Small Step – Dark Side of the Moon Edition features a black design with a golden visor. The artist’s imaginative spin on the historic moon landing explores the wondrous freedom of near weightlessness. It also embodies the euphoria felt by those that watched the amazing scene on their TVs way back in 1969. This new edition follows the original, sold-out white edition.
An edition of 25, the One Small Step – Dark Side of the Moon resin sculpture (13″) will be available on Friday (7.17) at 5 AM PDT from SohoArt. Whatshisname’s mailing list members receive early access to the release and free prints for the first 5 orders.
