Known for his intricate hand-painted custom toys, Indonesian artist Mrkumkum’s Silent Killer solo, his first USA exhibition, will open at Clutter Gallery in New York on Saturday, July 11th, 2020. Mrkumkum has created five hand-painted micro runs for the new solo including the snake sculpture featured on the promo image.
Coiled around itself, the undulating piece was created specifically for this exhibition. The snake and presumably the other editions feature the artist’s signature gold on black style with masterful use of the negative space for textural detail.
