First shown as painted prototypes at DesignerCon 2019 back when the word was still functioning, Tracy Tubera’s DC Comics vinyl art toys from Unruly Industries became available for pre-order right near the start of the stay-at-home period. Flexing his design skills and passion for sneakers, Tubera has created his take on three iconic DC Comics superheroes: Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman. Tubera’s latest S.H.S. figures (Super Heroes in Sneakers) follow his popular Marvel art toys: Miles Morales, T’Challa, and Wade.
Beyond the bold styling and dynamic poses, each of Tubera’s comic book figures cleverly incorporate the hero’s initials into the piece, either in the shoe laces or in the case of Diana Prince, her golden lasso.
