Thai artist Kelvin Wang’s Tobi returns with the brand-new Monster Tobi resin art toy. Once a normal kid, Tobi discovers a ‘helmet’ that ends up being a symbiote-like creature. The creature transforms Tobi into a powerful monster, with four eyes and razor-sharp teeth.
Debuting in both Blue and Red editions, the figure embodies the character’s transformation with both an Original mode featuring a buff, yet still semi-human Tobi and the Legendary mode which unleashes the full fury of Monster Tobi with a completely transformed face and gnarly teeth. The clever magnetic Legendary mask is the key to switching between modes. With the mask on Tobi is Legendary and with it off he’s in his Original mode. Monster Tobi features three points of articulation (head and arms).
Editions of 25, the Monster Tobi resin art toys (4.92″) in both Blue and Red versions are available for pre-order from the artist’s web shop for $58 each or $110 for the set of two. Handmade in Thailand, the figures will be ready to ship in one to three months. Monster Tobi is a follow-up to the artist’s previous Teletobi soft vinyl figure which was released in several pop culture-themed versions.
