Arman Kendrick is poised to release his new Kumatsuki – The Ronin Bear resin art toys in both 3″ and 8″ versions. The friendly Kumatsuki marks the reboot of Kendrick’s Tako Jimbo Universe inspired by feudal Japan. The execution and finish of figures, especially the 8″ version is remarkable. From the stout sculpt to the intricately detailed armor and gear including the backpack, the figure delivers on the promise of the rich warrior tradition. The 8″ version features an alternate head of ‘Pork Chop’ (w/removable Hanya mask) whom the artist slyly refers to as the ‘previous owner of Kumatsuki’s armor’.
The Kumatsuki – The Ronin Bear art toys in both 3″ (Edition of 50, $80) and 8″ editions (Edition of 35, $200) will be available for pre-order on Sunday (6.14) at 9 PM PDT via the shop link available on the artist’s Facebook page. Each figure comes with handsome Certificate of Authenticity cards. An art print by chkdsk will also be available (Edition of 50, $10). Collectors who purchase both the 3″ and 8″ versions will receive the print for free. Kumatsuki will out in the first week of July. Expect delays due to reduced postal delivery due the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
