Springfield’s patriarch continues his pointed, defiant ways with the upcoming IDEFY Stay Alive Edition from Abell Octovan x Pobber Toys. The zombified edition features a new gift-wrapped brain bottle label and the name of the piece scrawled on the pale green wrist,
Rather than just a colorway, the new edition shifts the concept of the piece. The OG edition’s tongue-in-cheek rebellion signaled by the molotov cocktail reference (w/cloth at the end of the bottle) has been replaced by a drunken and defiant zombie. Without the yellow hand and the IDefy (Duff beer, anyone?) label as a tie-in, the piece does lose some of its pop culture oomph. That said, for those that are familiar with Octovan’s work, the wink and nod are still alive and well.
