LA-based artist Vandul is set to drop his new Hype Vandul$ 3D-printed figures featuring two new sculpts of his signature hoodie-wearing Vandul character. Created as a critique of what the hypebeast culture has become, both the walking figure and its crouching counterpart flaunt their spendy street style with the oversized hoodie, swanky sling and of course kicks that they’ve dared to wear. Each figure comes with a Mini-Kan spray can character accessory.
The Hype Vandul$ figures will be released in ten unique, hand-painted colorways. Each colorway is limited to one walking Vandul and one crouching Vandul (sold individually), a total of just two figures per colorway. All in all, there will be twenty Hype Vanduls available for the drop (10 colorways x 2 Vandul sculpts/colorway).
The Hype Vandul$ 3D-printed art toys drop this Friday (6.19) at 12 PM PDT from the Vandul online shop with the walking figure (5″) available for $100 and the crouching version (4″) for $80. The Hype Vandul releases come in an immediately familiar orange shoebox style box with Vandul character stickers as well as the artist’s new StockX parody stickers with a stylized stock chart ‘V’.
