‘Future’ by Erik Parker x AllRightsReserved

Previous Next

Erik Parker will follow his impressive Woke wood pyramid sculpture (2019) with the much larger Future sculpture, both produced by AllRightsReserved. ‘Future’ incorporates the same overall hand-painted, segmented wood pyramid design as ‘Woke’, but at over twice the height (15.75″ Vs. 7.09″) and a much larger surface area, is a fitting sequel.

As with the previous version, ‘Future’ has five separate sections featuring the heads of Parker’s colorful, playful and quirky characters. Each section is connected via circular joints to allow for smoothly rearranging the sculpture to reveal a new visual combination. Rather than forcing fixed angles of rotation, the interactive piece leaves the arrangement completely up to the individual, with arbitrary angles creating a jagged, but fascinating whole. An edition of just 18 pieces with 5 APs, the ‘Future’ sculpture comes packaged in a wooden box with signed and numbered certificate of authenticity.

In addition to the wood sculpture, ‘Future’ will also be available as a silkscreen on wood panel print. Measuring 22.83 x 21.26″, the wood panel version is an edition of 100 pieces (25 AP) and includes a signed/numbered certificate of authenticity.

Both the sculptural and wood panel print editions of ‘Future’ will be released on Tuesday (6.23) at 8 PM PDT from AllRightsReserverd’s Ding Dong Takuhaibin Store. The wood panel print will be available for HK$9,420 (~ $1216 ) each, while the sculpture is available via inquiry for an undisclosed price.
