In reaction to the Covid-19 Pandemic, Vincent Scala has created a light-hearted virus-themed toy as his way of making sense of the world through his art. The figure’s skull head features the virus’s unmistakable appearance with the telltale corona-style spikes. Befitting the unconventional figure, each colorway has a different name, many suggestions from the artist’s fans: Aloha-19 (Pink), Covie (Green), LV (Little Virus) in Blue, Mona Rona (Red) and Quarran-Timmy (Yellow).
Covie and the rest of the viral art toy crew (3.5″) will be available on Tuesday (6.16) at 6 PM PDT from Vincent Scala’s web shop for $35 each.
