Jason Freeny is well-known for his anatomical, dissected art toys. With the release of the new A-Flash Bubble running shoes designed in collaboration China’s Anta, he’s branching out into footwear with impressive results right out of the chute. The zipper-based A-Flash Bubble cleverly incorporates his dissected style with a 50/50 design featuring woven design on the outer half of the sneaker and a mesh (skeleton) design on the inner half. Freeny has also left his artistic mark on the sole which carries a skeletal footprint.
As part of the collaboration, Freeny also designed ‘Bub’ a mascot for the collaboration. Ever wonder what the anatomy of a bubble looks like? Here’s one fun answer. According to Anta’s promo materials, the NFS Bub figure is limited to ten pieces, perhaps VIP gifts or the like.
