LA artist Kwestone has created a fun and clever take on the coveted ‘deadstock’ hunted by sneaker heads. Playing on the phrase, Ded Stock is a Grim Reaper consumed by kicks. Inspired specifically by the Air Max 90, the sneaker influence can be seen from head to toe, perhaps most pointedly with the swoosh-shaped scythe. Zooming in, the reaper’s skull head features crossed laces instead of bones and the Airmax’s heel panel and Air chamber along the jawbone.
Brought to life with an assist from Thailand-based Nogs Studio, Ded Stock has been picked up by UVD Toys with a targeted Fall drop.
