When life (or a deadly virus) hands you lemons, you make lemonade. With the unfortunate postponement of Creature Bazaar due to the Covid19 Pandemic, Unbox Industries has switched the release of the Genesiis Creature Bazaar Edition soft vinyl figures by Vilesore from an in-person convention release to an online drop available worldwide.
The new edition of the mostly creepy and slightly cute figure affectionately known as the ‘Crocodile Kid’ features a spiffy double-pour, marbled blue/white design. The outer clear vinyl layer adds a subtle, yet sweet bit of dimensionality/depth that needs to be seen to be appreciated. Based on the original Who Goes There? mini series design, this larger 6.5″ standalone release is part of Unbox’s WGT? Supersize concept. The new edition is actually two-in-one with each randomly-assorted figure featuring either red or blue eyes and clothes to match.
The Genesiis (Creature Bazaar Edition) will be released on Saturday (4.4) at 8 AM PDT from Unbox’s web shop for $50 each. If you have an eye-color preference (red or blue), be sure to note it and Unbox will do their best to make your wish a reality. Please note that this is officially a ‘preorder’ as shipping of the in-stock figures will be delayed until Hong Kongs lifts its temporary Coronavirus-related hold on outgoing international airmail service.
