Julie West takes a walk on the dark side with her just-released Fauna Superjanky vinyl art toy from Superplastic. While she often creates light-hearted, breezy designs, Fauna brings us a fierce, horned protector of the forest. With green eyes and lips flowing with verdant energy and serpents at the ready, she is a formidable force.
While the tone is certainly darker, the new figure features West’s recognizable, signature style throughout from the facial elements to her intricate geometric deco which serves here as web-like mystical symbols. Design wise, the twisting horns stand out with the bands of color at the base and tips.
Limited to 666 pieces, the Fauna Superjanky (8″) art toy is available now from Superplastic for $90. To celebrate the drop, Superplastic will be randomly including 25 signed/numbered Fauna art prints (frame not included) in orders placed within the first 24 hours (presumably thru 10:59 AM PDT on Friday).
