It’s finally done. We’ve been admiring the brand-new Buffalo Soldier sofubi art toy from Kevin Lyons x BlackBook Toy for more than a year as not-for-sale factory protos and test shots at various conventions. Five years in the making and several sculpts later from the talented Chop of Monster Farm, the OG edition is done and ready to go.
The impish figure with a ‘tude debuts in the vivid OG colorway featuring a very green character as well as a reggae-inspired beanie hat, a nod to Bob Marley’s Buffalo Solider hit song. At 7.8″ tall, the figure has quite the presence and feels as if Lyon’s character has stepped out from one of his murals or paintings. To celebreate the long-anticipated drop, BlackBook Toy is including a satchel-style bag featuring the Buffalo Solider Logo and drawing. Worth the wait.
The Buffalo Soldier OG sofubi art toy will be available for pre-order form Friday (4.10) at 8 AM PDT through April 30th at 7:59 AM PDT from BlackBook Toy for 13,800. The green one is slated to ship in June/July.
