AP-2K from Wetworks x The Terror Troopers

The new AP-2K vinyl art toy project from Wetworks x  Singaporean graffiti artist/illustrator The Terror Troopers is bound to be grin-inducing for fans of Urban Vinyl. The frenetic streetwear action hero aesthetic from The Terror Troopers’ murals and illustrations makes the leap to 3D via Wetworks’ all-around toy-making expertise spanning character creation, sculpting, molding and production.

A cybernetic warrior, AP-2K has impeccable street style from his deconstructed shoe-styled samurai helmet and matching kicks to his streamlined windbreaker and rugged pack. The face sculpt is key to the figure’s story, vaguely human yet definitely robotic on closer inspection from the hard angles to the faceted construction and exposed circuitry and wiring. The 6″ vinyl toy features five points of articulation for plenty of display flexibility and playability.

To bring AP-2K to toy collectors’ shelves worldwide, Wetworks and The Terror Troopers have turned to Kickstarter.  The collector-friendly rewards include four different colorways Original VR (Orange), Hype VR (Neon Green), Wetworks VR (Black/Orange) and the Kickstarter VR (Blue/Tan).  While the four colorways are available for $107/each, there’s still time to get the OG version at the early bird price of $89. There are also two different 2-packs ($199) as well as a 4-pack ($425). Each of these rewards also includes stickers and postcards. Check out all the rewards over at the AP-2K Kickstarter campaign. AP-2K is expected to ship in December 2020.
