BlackBook Toy is offering the first fully-painted editions of the Punk Rock Boy & Baby sofubi art toys created in collaboration with Suicidal Tendencies. This first edition features a light blue, red and black color scheme for both figures.
Living up to their names, Punk Rock Boy (6.3″) and Baby (4.3″) feature punk hair, clothes and of course, vibe. Punk Rock Boy has painted detail throughout from the crosses on the bandana to the jacket which features the Suicidal Tendencies logo on the back as well as silver zippers, buttons and studs. Each figure is fully articulated with three points for the Baby (Head & Arms) and seven for the Boy (Head, arms, hands, and lower body). The paint design is based on Marvel Okinawa’s concept artwork.
Embracing the culture, BBT has created Suicidal Tendencies Fingerboards—with installed trucks and wheels—in both black and green colorways. The fingerboards feature a laser-cut band logo and the Punk Rock Boy face. They even include grip tape that can be applied after the toys arrive. A randomly colored fingerboard is included with the two-figure Punk Rock Boy & Baby set.
Punk Rock Boy & Baby are available now via e-mail lottery which runs through Saturday (3.28) at 7:59 AM PDT. In addition to the deluxe 2-figure + fingerboard set (¥15,200/$137) the toys are also available individually: Punk Rock Boy (¥8800/$79) and Punk Rock Baby (¥6980/$63).
