Kikkake Toy welcomes in warmer weather with his new Suspicious Guy ‘Spring Noise Drum’ edition sofubi art toy. The latest version of his flamboyant clown drummer figure—with smilely face drum— has a bright orange and gold design. The artist, Atsushi Kotaki, normally names this this figure Auspicious Guy, but occasionally goes with the alternate Suspicious Guy moniker. As always, the painted details are stunning. For those not familiar with Kotaki’s work, the circus theme is prevalent in his toys including his very popular Iron Monkey which is a riff off the old-school monkey toys with banging cymbals.
Limited to 15 pieces, the Suspicious Guy ‘Spring Noise Drum’ sofubi is available directly from Kikkake Toy’s web shop for ¥18,000 ($67).
