HK-based Mirico is about to debut Niku-Niku, the first figure in its new 竜の卵-Mirico series (‘dragon egg’) of chibi-style dragons. Just hatched, Niku-Niku is seen right before it climbs out of its egg. Rather than simply presenting the baby dragon on its own, the hybrid design effortlessly tells the story of a hatchling. The soft vinyl figure features three points of articulation (head and arms). Each colorway features a different dragon species from a specific environment. As you might guess, the debut Niku Niku’s natural habitat is the forest.
Limited to 30 pieces, Niku-Niku will be available for pre-order on Friday (2.28) at 6 PM PST from Mirico’s Facebook page for $76 (including shipping). To order comment with a ‘1’ on the official release post on the brand’s FB page. Orders will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. Mirico will send payment instructions to collectors who place an order via the comment system before the edition sells out.
