For Wonder Festival Winter, Big Boys Toys will release the Lion Kid Aqua Edition soft vinyl art toy, a follow-up to the OG version released last month in Hong Kong. The new edition features cool tones throughout mixing aqua with a soft white. Compared to the OG version, it appears that the Aqua edition features a double pour (or inner paint) process, giving the figure a subtle, but noticeable depth to the design.
Part of the fun of this Lion Dance-inspired toy is the Kid underneath the Lion mask, this time with yellow eyes and a purple mohawk. Diving into the design just a bit more, what’s the Kid holding? Perhaps a bouquet. Lion Kid is the latest Lion Dance figure from designer Foon Wong Hiroshi x Big Boys Toys and follows his previously released SC Braver robot and NC Braver lion figures.
Lion Kid Aqua will be available from table 4-13-01 at Wonder Festival Winter 2020 (2.9) located at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan (Tokyo).
