Clutter Gallery will present it’s eighth annual [IN]Action Figures show this Saturday evening (2.8) featuring artistic takes on the action figure from over 60 artists. As the show’s clever title suggests, while the majority of these pieces are based on the classic 3.75″ action figure format, including the classic carded blister packaging, they static art pieces, without the articulation action of their mainstream cousins. Often affectionately known as ‘bootlegs’ as many of the figures use repurposed parts, this genre often recasts iconic characters from popular mainstream entertainment franchises to amusing or thought-provoking effect.
Online purchasing is now open for the show from the Clutter Gallery website. While a few pieces have sold, a nice selection remains available.
