Painter Peter Opheim has collaborated with Unique Board to translate his dimensional paintings into a three-dimensional art object / art toy. Interestingly, Opheim creates clay sculptures for reference as part of his painting process.
The colorful, canine-like Him is a limited-edition version of one of these clay sculptures. Realized in 3D-printed plaster form with a hand-applied matte wax finish, the figure has the look and visual appeal of polymer clay sculptures in an edition form. As such, it has a refreshing, organic vibe.
An edition of 30, Him (5.5″) is available directly from Unique Board on a made-to-order basis for $400. Please allow 5-6 weeks for production.
