Moscow-based Kosrobot continues to expand his Cosmos Cold saga with his newest figure, Tim. Don’t let the simple name fool you, Tim is one of Kosrobot’s most impressive releases so far. Befitting his deluxe build, the space soldier will play a key role in the unfolding comics story of the ghostly crew that haunts a doomed space station.
The most impressive aspect about the new Tim resin action figure is you’d easily be forgiven in thinking it’s part of a new mainstream sci-fi production series. In fact, it’s a hand-cast resin figure with a striking design and all the features collectors expect from true action figures.
Available in both an OG Green and flashy Orange (translucent neon greon accessories) edition, Tim features six points of articulation (ball-jointed head, swivels in the arms and legs, and a rotating waist) and has a full, removable loadout. His gear includes a removable helmet with cracked, articulated visor, removable chest armor, a pistol and flashlight, both of which can be stored on the figure or placed in Tim’s hands. Going one step beyond traditional action figures, Tim comes with a resealable blister + card packaging.
Kosrobot will open pre-orders for both Tim editions on Friday (2.28) at 9 AM PST for $35 each from his web shop. These are expected to launch in May/June 2020. The value here is impressive for an indie, hand-crafted art toy / action figure with production quality articulation and full accessory loadout.
