Thai artist Lookplu8 has collaborated with Logman to create a special wood version of her Yui-The Little Squirrel character. Making the jump from the rounded, happily chubby resin art toy version to wood, Yui takes on a streamlined 2.5D vibe with satisfyingly simple shapes including a triangular head(onigiri-like), a taller triangular body, articulated arms and a bushy tail.
Limited to just 10 pieces, the Yui Wood Little Squirrel art toy will be released on Wednesday, February 5th—details to follow. Wood art toys are few and far between, so it’s refreshing and welcome to see artists exploring the medium.
