Starry Knights: Magi & Maret by Greg ‘Craola’ Simkins x Unruly Industries

First shown at SDCC 2019, the Starry Knights: Magi & Maret set from Greg ‘Craola’ Simkins and Unruly Industries brings the LA-based painter’s stout, surreal paladins to 3-dimensional life as impressively sculpted art toys. Though they are similar in appearance and carry the same staff which features Simkins’ rabbit head logo on the top and a clubs symbol, each Knight has a distinct identity. Magi has a rabbit-like presence while Maret resembles a centaur, albeit with a deer-like lower-body. With a dorsal fin on his back, Maret exemplifies Simkins’ surreal aesthetic of blending numerous creatures together to create something new, and mystical.

Nearly all-black except for their white-star faces, the Starry Knights are sculptural showcases with strong detail throughout from the muscles in the torso and arms to the detailed fingers and paw/hoofs. Tall and slender, the Starry Knights make a striking statement.

Limited to 500 sets, the Starry Knights: Magi & Maret are available now direct from Unruly Industries for $150. Magi (10″) and Maret (9″) blend vinyl, abs and metal to achieve Simkin’s vision.
